NPP PARLIAMENTARY CANDIDATE RUNS AWAY FROM A CEREMONY

Jomoro NPP parliamentary aspirant fails to donate towards construction of Teachers’ Quarters at Egbazo near Half Assini.

The chiefs and people of Egbazo , near Half Assini in the Western Region organised a fund – raising ceremony for the construction of teachers’ quarters in the area.

Surprisingly, the Parliamentary Candidate for the New Patriotic Party for Jomoro constituency Paul Essien who came to the ceremony with a heavy support at the ceremony, dodged when the funding raising was going on and he couldn’t show up again.

After the ceremony, the folks in the community expressed their displeasure and disappointment in the NPP Parliamentary Candidate.

Donations made at the ceremony were as follow;

The C E O of Dan Borsor Group of Companies who is also a strong member of NDC, Mr. Dan Borsor, donated 100 bags of cement with a cheque of unspecified amount and promised of additional 200 bags of cement.

Hon. George William Somiah, the DCE for Jomoro District also donated 50 bags of cement with GHc300.00 towards the realisation of the project.

Receiving the donations, the chief and elders of the community expressed their profound appreciation to the donors and they pledged to put the cements and other items into good use.

Present at the ceremony included Ms. Samiah Yaba Nkrumah the daughter of the first president of Ghana, Mr. David Cobbinah Brigidi, a businessman and Mr. Paul Essien ,the NPP parliamentary aspirant who failed to donate anything towards the realisation of the project.

Paul Essien presence was not even felt as he could not say anything either in person or as an aspirant . He even ran away from from program in other to avoid any disgrace.

The N D C candidate’s position was represented by Mr. Dan Borsor with the donation, cheque and the pledge.
