NPP IS POSSESSED BY SOME SPIRITS PREVENTING THEM FROM BEING CONSISTENT

Listening to Mr Afenyo Markins on GMG today and many of his npp colleagues on borrowing, I am tempted to think that some spirits are working on the npp preventing from being consistent for once.

Where’s Dr Mahamud Bawumia and his boss mr Nana Akufo Addo? Didn’t these two personalities (arrowheads) on countless times in opposition made Ghanaians believe that Ghana had all the monies or resources we needed right here in the country and that we didn’t need to borrow from external sources?

They claimed among others that it was due to mismanagement and corruption which was why ndc government was borrowing externally.

So today, Ghana supposedly has “incorruptible and supposedly competent government”, why is npp on a borrowing spree? In one Parliamentary session the Akufo Addo-Bawumia govt has borrowed $3.3bn with its a cedi equivalent of ghc15bn.

Now, add this ghc15bn to the ghc142bn that has just been announced or made known to us, and you will get ghc157bn.

Mind you,Ghana’s debt as at December 2016 stood at ghc122bn.
It means in a spate of 15 months, npp government under President Akufo Addo has added a whooping ghc35bn with nothing to show for it. No capital investment projects/infrastructure to show for this ghc35bn.

President Mahama didn’t borrow to buy kelewule but rather his government invested so much into massive infrastructure projects that prez Akufo Addo and his appointees are busily commissioning and in some instances re-commissioning projects that are operational.
