NPP Condemns Attack On Kwabena Agyepong’s Car

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has condemned the attack on the vehicle belonging to the General Secretary, Kwabena Agyepong.

The back screen of Kwabena Agyepong’s car was smashed on Tuesday during a Steering Committee meeting at the party’s Head Quarters.

A Steering Committee meeting had been fixed for Tuesday 27th October, 2015.  The General Secretary brought to the notice of the meeting an application for Interlocutory Injunction against the meeting.

The meeting however continued as members had not been served any restraining order.

The General Secretary later on came to inform the meeting of an attack on his car downstairs, which had resulted in a crack on the back screen.

Apparently, in the course of the meeting, word had gone out to the media that the General Secretary had served an injunction to stop the Steering Committee meeting, and that led to the attack on the back screen of his car.

A statement signed by Perry Okudjeto, Deputy Communications Director of the party condemned the act and indicated that the Steering Committee has “resolved to replace the rear screen of the General Secretary’s vehicle.

He also added that ‘further investigations’ will be conducted to get to the bottom of this incident.
