NHIS outdoors product to allow subscribers renew membership for up to 4 years

The NHIA has outdoored the NHIS multi-year renewal aimed at giving its clients the opportunity to renew their membership for more than a year.

Under current arrangements NHIA members are required to renew their membership annually but the new system allows them to renew their membership for up to four years at a go.

Speaking at the launch of the NHIS multi-year renewal, Chief Executive for the NHIA, Nathaniel Otoo, said the product would help members avoid the inconvenience they go through renewing annually.

“We took note of the long queues so did we take note of the frustration sometimes people have to go through to register,” Nathaniel Otoo said.

According to him the multi-year renewal is part of the NHIA’s desire to constantly innovate to improve service delivery to its clients.

The product will initially be rolled out at Teshie-LEKMA, Ayawaso and Ablekuma and will be implemented incrementally.
