NDC Primaries: Mahama can’t win – Koku Anyidoho

8th May 2023

The former Deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Koku Anyidoho says he is very optimistic Dr Kwabena Duffuor will pull a surprise at his party’s flagbearership race.

According to him, the NDC needs a “winnable candidate” ahead of the 2024 election and Dr Duffuor stands tall among other contenders, mainly John Dramani Mahama.

“My interest is that the NDC will elect a winnable candidate. Someone wants to be a permanent flagbearer for the NDC but that is not what we want. Among those contesting, Dr Duffuor is a mile ahead of the others.

“The records are there; I am not the one saying it.” Koku Anyidoho said on NEAT FM’s morning show, Ghana Montie.

Mr Anyidoho who was expelled from the party in 2021 after the disciplinary committee of the NDC found him guilty of misconduct and anti-party behaviour said he will vote during May 13th presidential primaries and work as an agent for Dr Kwabena Duffuor.

He maintained that he is still a staunch member of the NDC hence he will take part in the upcoming primaries.
