WOMEN FOR MAHAMA CALLS FOR THE SACK OF KOJO YANKSON AS HOST OF JOY FM’s MORNING SHOW

We have heard with total revulsion the equation of the President of the Republic of Ghana by the host of the Super Morning Show of Joy FM to an armed robber. Having taken time to listen to his comment and his subsequent apology, we are clear in our minds that Mr Kojo Yankson deliberately set out to falsely accuse and assassinate the image of our President and was not repentant after the public outcry his comment generated.

As a result, we are calling on the employers of Mr Kojo Yankson, Joy FM and Multimedia, to withdraw his appointment as host of their morning show. This is because we are certain that such media operatives pose a severe danger to national peace if they continue to have access to public media to speak to the public.

If he continues to be on air and keeps insulting the President of the country and also prominent members of our society, the country will degenerate into an angry mob similar to what happened in war torn countries. We do not want that on Ghana. That is why we are calling on Multimedia and Kwesi Twum to relieve Kojo Yankson of his role to help clean up the air space and save Ghana from this unethical journalism.

Ghana deserves better. Our President deserves better.

Thank you.

Theresa Awuni

National Coordinator,

Women For Mahama.
