NDC ELECTS AGYARKO’S 2016 OPPONENT TO CONTEST BY-ELECTION

National Democratic Congress (NDC) delegates in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency has elected Delali Kwasi Brempong as the party’s candidate for the impending by election in the constituency.

He polled 415 votes to beat his competitors, Selassie Agbo  and Ekaw Acquah.

The two polled 115 votes and 190 votes respectively.

A fourth contestant, actor John Dumelo pulled out of the contest in the last minute following complains that he is not a registered voter in the constituency.

Mr Delali Emmanuel Kwasi Brempong, who is a pharmacist contested the 2016 elections on the ticket of the NDC.

He polled 22,534 representing 39.63% in the 2016 elections. The late Agyarko who won the seat polled 32,591 which represented 57.32%.
