NDC Consoles family of Hon Ama Benyiwa Doe

Leadership of the National Democratic Congress led by our National Chairman – Hon Samuel Ofosu Ampofo has visited the family of our departed party Titan & National icon- Hon Ama Benyiwa Doe today to console them officially in line with the Akan tradition.

The late Ama Benyiwa was also the Queenmother of Gomoa Abora.

Accompanying the National Chairman were Hon Kofi Ato Attoh- National Vice Chairman, Hon Barbara Serwaa Asamoah- Deputy Gen Secretary, Hon Theophilus Aidoo Mensah- Central Regional Vice Chairman, Hon Elvis Afiriyie Ankrah- National Director of Elections, Hon Godwin Ako Gunn- Deputy Nat Comm Officer, Maame Efua- Deputy Nat Women Organizer, Hon Baba Jamal- former Dep Gen Sec, Hon Mrs Sati Ocran- former NEC Member, Hon Amartey- Dep Dir of Elections, Amb Mrs Margaret Clarke Kwessie- former National Treasurer, Ɔwɛnfoba Kwesi Dawood- Central Regional Comm Officer, Amb Mrs Aanaa Enin- former Ambassador to the Netherlands & Italy, Dr Mrs Deborah Cubagee- Member of the Council of Elders, Hon Kakra Yalley and Hon Naa Momo- MP for Krowor.

Abusuampanyinfo of the Royal Twidan families of Gomoa Abora, Gomoa Mumford and Agona Swedru, their family members, Children of the late, Nephews, Nieces and the extended family received them warmly, confirmed the demise of our own Auntie Ama and communicated their resolve to organise a befitting farewell for their Royal, in collaboration with the NDC. Among the family members who received the NDC delegation were Nana Kwesi Hammah V- Odikro of Gomoa Abora and Hon Dr George Blankson- former CEO of GRA who is also the direct nephew of Auntie Ama.

The National Chairman and his entourage after signing the Book of Condolences at the residence of the departed, informed the gathering that Books of Condolences will also be opened for signing at the Party HQ- Accra from Wednesday 22nd September 2021.
