Ndc better than NPP – Songo

Controversial sports broadcaster Countryman Songo says former Sports Minister Nii Lantey Vanderpuije was better at the job than current head Isaac Asiamah.

“Nii Lantey Vanderpuye wanted the truth… Nii Lantey is fantastic, he stands tall. He thinks like me, he fires like me in a very professional way and he’s a sports man.
Amongst them all he is a sports man and a journalist too so he knows the job and he knows what to do when it comes to boxing, athletics and when it comes to football. When Nii Lantey was doing the right thing, they didn’t want him to do it,” he told Bola Ray on Starr Chat.

According to him, the current minister of the sector knows nothing about the game and will be the downfall of President Akufo-Addo.

“Our Sports Minister is only talking, he’s doing too much talking… the minister is not performing, he’s only talking. He’s the reason why the President will have a problem. You can’t allow players to walk over you as a minister. The Sports Minister is doing too much talking,” he added.

Songo also said it is time Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan gave way to his deputy Dede Ayew to lead the team.
