MULTIMEDIA DRONES ACTIVITIES AROUND FORMER PRESIDENT’S RESIDENCE A NATIONAL SECURITY BREACH-STRANEK

The audacity in which Multimedia Ghana used its drones to spy on the residence of Former President John Dramani Mahama is a breach of national security and unacceptable.

Strategic Thinkers Network (STRANEK) therefore condemns the actions of Multimedia Ghana with respect to spying on the activities happening in the residence of the Former President. We expect that as professionals, they should know better as Former Presidents are assets to the state hence their security must not be tempered with.

It is actually a hogwash for anybody to spy on the residence of the Former Presidents of Ghana or any other country since permission must be sought before taking coverage of the activities happening in the residence of the Former President.

As a think tank that fosters security for all Ghanaians including obviously Former Presidents, we tend to ask whether indeed the drones owned by Multimedia Ghana is registered according to the directive by the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA)?

We call the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) to condemn the unacceptable modus operandi of Multimedia Ghana. We as well ask the national security officials to expedite action on such a breach or better still ask Multimedia Ghana to apologise profusely for such a breach of national security.

On that note, our fingers are crossed expectant of the fact that our advocacy for the right things to be done will be considered in high esteem.

We remain resolute in being involved building our motherland Ghana.
