Man escapes lynching after being caught in bed with friend’s wife

Some angry youth of Okurasi in the Upper West Akyem District of the Eastern region on Tuesday nearly lynched a man for allegedly having sex with his friend’s wife.

This was after the man, named Kwabena Koomson was caught red-handed in the act with the married woman.

The youth in the town, who were angered by the act gathered at his house in their numbers with clubs and forcibly opened his door.
Koomson was, however, saved from the mob attack when the assemblyman for the area arrived at the scene and managed to whisk him away from the crowd.

The husband of the cheating wife, popularly known as Small Baya, told the media that he has been suspecting his wife, with whom he has three children, of infidelity for over a month now.

The sister of the wife, however, argued that the woman is forced to have extra marital affairs because her husband has failed to take care of her.
Meanwhile, the Mmaratohene of the community, Nana Yaw Amenyenu said the elders will meet and prescribe sanctions for Koomson and the woman.
He said Koomson will subsequently be handed over to the police.
