Mahama, Rawlings and Kufuor grace Independence Day

Former presidents John Mahama, Jerry John Rawlings and John Agyekum Kufuor were among a host of other dignitaries at the Ghana@60 parade on Monday March 6, 2017.

The event was attended by Justices of the Supreme Court, members of the diplomatic corps and traditional leaders among others.

Zimbabwe President, Robert Mugabe, was among the many African leaders who also partook in Ghana’s 60 Independence Day anniversary parade.
The 93-year-old leader is undoubtedly one of the most popular African leaders in Ghana.

The theme for Ghana’s 60 anniversary is “Mobilising for Ghana’s future.”

Ghana was the first Sub-Saharan African country to gain independence after struggles led by its first President Dr Kwame Nkrumah.
