Lordina Foundation Pledges To Support Government In Health Care

The Lordina Foundation says it will continue to complement government’s efforts in the area of health by supplying consumables to especially deprived hospitals across the country.

This venture which is being made possible by Medshare USA has reached more than one hundred health centers in the country.

Speaking at separate presentation ceremonies at Tuobodom and Jema in the Bono-Ahafo Region First Lady Lordina Mahama said health is critical and it is a sector that needs immense support hence the donation.

The donation of the consumables to the Tuobodom Health Centre and Jema District Hospital came at an opportune time as these health centers were in critical need of these items to run the hospital.

At Jema there is no Ambulance to convey sick people to other hospitals when there is an emergency.

This prompted the Foundation to respond to them.

She asked authorities of the two hospital s to put the equipment and other consumables to good use.

The District Health Director at Jema hospital Amoako Gyampah said the hospital equipment and consumables could not have come at a better time.

The First Lady further pledged her continuous support for the two health centers.

Meanwhile, at Tuobodom the First Lady addressed the issue of early childhood education and stressing the need for the community to give their children the best of education.

She stated that education is a right and therefore parents should not deny their children that right.
