An Independence day Parade is on Monday (today) being held at the Black Star square to climax activities for the 60th Anniversary celebration of Ghana. Millions of Ghanaians are participating in this activity that has seen other Heads of States arrive in the country to commemorate the day.
Zimbabwe’s Robert Mugabe and Togo’s Faure Nyasingbe are a few of the several dignitaries in town for Ghana’s 60th Independence Day celebration.
Ahead of the celebration, some major roads in the national capital, Accra, have been closed to traffic.
The police service says personnel will be spread across the country to help motorists out if need be while “towing cars would be available to tow any abandoned, disabled or wrongly parked vehicles at the event grounds and owners surcharged.”
