Kwame Nkrumah Interchange to open before year ends

The Kwame Nkrumah Circle Interchange being constructed by Queiroz Galvao Construction firm, is expected to be fully opened to traffic by the end of this year, a deputy minister of communications, Mr Felix Ofosu Kwakye has said.

Works that links Akasanoma Road to the Nsawam Road, around the Vodafone building, and the other one, which links the Nsawam Road to the Nkrumah Avenue, around the Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) building, are expected to be completed before the end of the year in order to allow President John Dramani Mahama inaugurate the interchange.

It would be recalled that Mr Mahama on August 7, 2015, opened two of the three routes of the interchange, to traffic.

Mr Ofosu Kwakye on Sunday July 10 announced on twitter that: “Kwame Nkrumah Interchange construction gets to homestretch. Opening before the year ends.”
