Kumchacha forms political party; names Apreku as vice

Founder and Leader of the Heaven’s Gate Ministries Nicholas Osei popularly known as Prophet Kumchacha has formed a political party to contest in the November 7 presidential race.

According to him, it is time for the church to take over the high office of the land to ensure God’s promise for Ghana is fulfilled.

His party name, KUM 1 Party, the outspoken prophet said, will work to save Ghana from ‘unbelievers who have plunged Ghana into idolism.

“It is time for pastors to take over the presidency of this country; the unbelievers are too much that is why Ghana is not progressing,” he fumed.

For his vice president, he chose Evangelist Kweku Apraku, affectionately called “my daughter”, who was the General Overseer of his church which was formerly called King Jesus Evangelistic Ministry, at Baatsona on the Spintex Road in Accra.

The two, he stated, are the eyes and ears of God to move the country in the right direction.

Prophet Kumchacha in an interview on Adom News said he has begun the process of picking up certification forms from the Electoral Commission (EC) to enable him to contest the general elections.

He insisted that what the country needs now is a president who will rely on God for directions and be independent of any political party control.

The outspoken prophet added that the current democratic system was being taken as a life and death struggle for supremacy but not an assurance of the implementation of policies to improve the lives of the people.

If elected president, Prophet Kumchacha promised with the help of God, save Ghana from total collapse.
