Kumawood actor Wayoosi not dead, but in critical condition

Kumawood actor, Joseph Nana Osei Kofi popularly known as Wayoosi, is said to be alive, contrary to reports circulating on social media that he has passed on.

Viasat1 News however understands that Wayoosi is in a critical condition and has therefore been admitted at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi.

A close friend to the actor rubbished the news of his death and revealed that Wayoosi is still alive but very sick. He said “It shocking to him to hear this bad news being reported by some bloggers whereas he is alive.”

A similar rumour emerged in 2013 that suggested that Wayoosi’s leg had been amputated, while another story claimed he was dead, forcing the actor to come out to deny the rumours.

This time however, it is being claimed that the actor is under a curse which is forcing his stomach to bloat uncontrollably. Others also claim he is suffering from a kidney disease.

A Facebook user, Kamil Umar Demajesty, also posted on the social media platform that he has conducted his own investigation which indicates that the actor is alive.

He wrote “That death story in Kumawood is far different from the facts as at now. My own investigation indicates that the person in question is in a stable Condition. May God heals him. Wish him rapidly recovery. ‪#‎Wayoosi‬ may live#.”

Wayoosi has been married for 8 years and 40 years of age. He recently welcomed a baby girl.
