Ketu South: MP to launch free training and youth apprenticeship

Member of Parliament for Ketu South, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, will from July this year begin free training and youth apprenticeship sponsorship program with 10 different modules.

The MP made this known at Agbozume on Wednesday 5th May, 2021 during her on-going ‘Thank You Tour’ in some parts of the constituency and stressed that “the program will be in batches”.

She entreated parents to take their children’s education seriously and advised that speed limits on Aflao-Accra Highways and other road users’ regulations be respected by motto bike riders/drivers especially in order to reduce avoidable accidents on the road.

She used the occasion to remind the people in the Communities to continuously adhere to and observe all the Covid-19 protocols as directed.

Madam Gomashie also visited the refurbished Agbozume public library, and educated parents on the importance of the library and the benefits children can derive through constant visiting and reading.

The MP and her team toured parts of Agbozume, Afegame, Adawukope, Dzisakope, Ahorkpoe, Logove/Seshiebome, Akasito, Amefinukope, Ativuta and Nogokpo communities.

According to MP, her office annex at Agozume will soon be fully operational and dates will be announced for the public to visit and meet her in person at the office for any interaction.

In a related development, Abla Dzifa Gomashie in collaboration with the office of the former District Chief Executive for Ketu North, Mr. Kofi Lawnson and Lifetime Wells Vision International has organized free eye screening for over one thousand people in The Municipality.

The four day exercise in form of screening, giving medication and glasses to people with eye problems took place in communities namely Adina, Atoklokope, Ativuta, Wudoaba and Teshie/Avedzi.

At the end of exercise some of the participants started to see clearly as foreign materials such as dirt, dry mucus, among others were removed from their eyes.

Meanwhile the participants who were selected for surgery will soon undergo the operation as programed for free.
