Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) former president John Dramani Mahama has commenced a six day tour of the Ashanti region.
The tour which begins today, November 10 to Sunday November 15, 2020 will see the former president meet with stakeholders, traders and traditional leaders in the region described as the stronghold of the ruling NPP.
Mr Mahama will begin his tour with an interaction with Zongo chiefs and residents of Abesewa in the Ahafo Ano south East Constituency. He will later in the afternoon meet and interact with the residents of Camp 2 in the Ahafo Ano North Constituency and proceed to address a durbar of Chiefs and people at Mankranso in the Ahafo Ano south West Constituency.
Mr Mahama and his entourage is also expected to interact with Zongo Chiefs and Imams at Abuakwa in the Atwima Nwabiagya South constituency and crown the tour for day one with an interaction with Zongo Chiefs and residents at Ayigya in the Oforikrom Constituency.
The NDC leader will pay a courtesy call on Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace on Wednesday and continue to address a Muslim community in the Manhyia North
He will interact with artisans of Suame Magazine and address various durbars before leaving the region on Sunday.
