John Mahama & NDC have elevated Women Empowerment in Ghana – Magoo

A Deputy Spokesperson for the National Democratic Congress Election 2020 Campaign Madam Margaret Ansei has stated that the flagbearer of her party has elevated Women Empowerment in Ghana and Africa as a whole for declaring Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang as his running mate for Election 2020.

Madam Margaret Ansei stressed on the fact that Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang is an accomplished academician, an honest personality and very intelligent which she believes will conform with the visions of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama and the NDC.

In an interview with GhanaPoliticsonline.com, She commended the entire hierarchy of the party and all members for accepting the choice of the flagbearer.

She urged all sympathizers to work towards victory on December 7th, 2020.

“I’m particularly happy that the NDC has demonstrated that we have both the men and women to rule Ghana and make it a better place for all. Prof Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang is a perfect running mate and her nomination it timely. She will restore dignity to the office of the Vice-president unlike what we are witnessing today”, Madam Margaret Ansei stated.

The National Democratic Congress announced on Monday, 6th July, 2020 that it has picked the academician to pair its flagbearer for the 2020 race. She is the first female Vice-Chancellor of a public University in Ghana thus the University of Cape-Coast. She also served as Education Minister under the erstwhile John Dramani Mahama presidency.

Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has since accepted the nomination stating that her historic nomination is a victory for participatory democracy which recognizes the towering role women have played over the ages to achieve the progress made so far.
