Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has joined the “Papa No” trend
The former President was speaking to the Chiefs and Elders of Asukawkaw in the Central Tongu constituency on the need to maintain Hon. Joe Gidisu as Member of Parliament(MP) in order to enable him help the next NDC government serve the people of Ghana.
He said “If I go, you have to add my son to me so that we will have majority in Parliament in order to fulfill the various promises we have made to you people.
So I present to you Honourable Gidisu and plead with you people to vote for him. We don’t want any skirt and blouse. If you vote for ‘Papa NO’ then You vote for ‘)ba No’ so that together we can work together to achieve great things.”
‘Papa No’ became popular after actress Tracey Boakye’s outburst at Mzbel with claims of taking Mzbel’s man and becoming rich as a result of dating the man and giving birth for him.
The former President was alleged to be the “Papa No” although there’s not been evidence to prove that truly the former President is the man these two entertainers have been involved with.
The word which was been used on just social media found its way into Parliament after the Information Minister in making his statement but that didn’t sit well with the Minority especially, the Minority leader who condemned the Minister for introducing the word to the law making house.
