John Mahama Calls Trump A ‘Racist’…Asks AU To Respond To His Insult

Former President John Mahama has described US President Donald Trump as a ‘racist’ after he reportedly called some countries “shitholes”.

In a tweet, the former President said the US President is ‘pursuing a policy of Make America White again’ and called on the African Union to ‘respond strongly to this insult’

“Africans and Haitians come from ‘shithole’ countries? Isn’t Trump demonstrating that he’s nothing but a racist and pursuing a policy of ‘Make America White Again’? I congratulate Botswana for showing the way. Our AU Presidents must respond strongly to this insult” Mahama wrote.

Meanwhile, the African Union has demanded that US President Donald Trump apologise.

The group’s mission in Washington DC expressed “shock, dismay and outrage” and said the Trump administration misunderstood Africans.
