John Mahama arrives in Cape-Coast for NDC Unity Walk

Former president John Dramani Mahama has safely arrived at the capital of the Central Region, Cape-Coast ahead of National Democratic Congress (NDC) unity walk tomorrow .

The Central Region “Unity Walk” is the third edition which is aimed at bringing together over hundred thousand sympathisers of the National Democratic Congress in the region after its electoral defeat in the 2016 general election.

In an interview with the Central Regional Communication Officer of the NDC, Kwesi Dawood, he revealed to Ghanapoliticsonline.com that the walk is intended to energise the Party’s base and also enhance unity among members.

He further mentioned that the walk will commence at exactly 6am tomorrow at Siwdu Park.

‘The route remains the same: starting from Siwdu Park –Kotokuraba –Ewim –Tantri –Ayikoo Ayikoo –Petro Roundabout –Brofoyedur –Amanful –Gyegyem –Anaafo –Castle –Jackson Street and end at London Bridge where the invited dignitaries will address the gathering on the theme “Mobilisation of the grassroots a shared responsibility”.

‘It is gratifying to note that all our invited dignitaries have confirmed their participation. However, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, His Excellency Paa Kwasi Amissah-Arthur, Hon Julius Debrah, Hon Dr Ekwow Spio Garbrah, Hon Kweku Ricketts-Hagan, Hon Lawyer EKT Addo, Hon Kwesi Ahwoi, Hon Mike Hammah, Hon Hanna Tetteh, Hon Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyeman, Hon Cassiel Ato Forson, Hon Edwin Ato Sarpong, Hon Samuel Atta Mills, Hon Ama Benyiwa Doe, Hon Queenstar Pokua Sawyerr Hon Nana Oye Lithur and other former appointees who hail from our Region are already in town preparing for the Mega Unity Walk which will take place tomorrow.
