14th December 2022

Defeated National Youth Organiser aspirant of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Brogya Genfi has declared his intention to go to court to challenge the results of the just ended election.

Despite giving the incumbent a close contest, he lost at the end of the count.

George Opare Addo was re-elected to serve as the ND’s National Youth Organiser after amassing 533 of the total 1,041 valid votes.

Brogya Genfi on the other hand came second after polling 508 votes.

Speaking to Asempa FM on the ‘Ekosii sen’ programme on Wednesday, December 14, the defeated aspirant said he will go to court to seek redress.

“I will seek redress at the court. The election is not over for me,” Brogya Genfi shared.

Insisting that he has nothing against the reelected George Opare Addo, Brogya Genfi argued that it is why he never attacked him during his campaign.

“I never attacked George Opare Addo ever in my campaign. I was very careful not to do that ” the defeated aspirant stressed.
