IGP reshuffles top officers

The Inspector General of Police, David Asante-Apeatu, has carried out another massive shake up among senior police officers.
The latest reshuffle comes amid reported killings of police officers on operational duties

Director General of ICT, Dr George Akuffo Dampare, has been appointed as the Director General of Operations.

He has replaced COP Christian Tetteh Yohuno who has now been appointed the Director General in charge of Special Duties.
He was also the Greater Accra Regional Police Commander under the John Mahama administration.
Also affected in the latest shake up is COP Prosper Ablorh who is currently the Director General, Special Duties.

He has been appointed as the Director General Welfare.
While ACP Anthony Aidoo has been appointed the Director General, ICT.
In the letter announcing the reshuffle, the IGP says the changes take immediate effect.
