Former President John Dramani Mahama has called on African leaders to hand over peacefully when they lose elections.

Speaking at an Expert Seminar to commemorate the adoption of the African Charter on Democracy, Elections and Governance,in South Africa he said that lot of people confronted him during elections asking him what he will do if he loses the elections .

“People kept asking me same questions and I kept given same answers that if I lose i will hand-over peacefully , and that is exactly what I did ” He said.
