ICT centers commissioned by the Gov’t in the Fanteakwa South

The Government of Ghana has commissioned a new Information Communication Technology (ICT) center in the ICT in the Fanteakwa South , under the enhanced Communication Information Center (CIC) of the e-government project.

The CIC facilities, which is the first CIC center in the Eastern Region, is
aimed at offering opportunities to individual and students in the district through the use applications to enhance learning and teaching to develop potentials for future career advancement in other related fields.

Eastern Region,Minister, MS Mavis Ama Frimpong. who represented Govt on behalf of , Dr. Edward Omane Boamah ,drew attention to government’s commitment to develop and expand the use of ICT.

Parliamentary Candidate of Fanteakwa Abigail Elorm Mensah , said that the project was geared to providing citizenry with ICT skills and access to the internet, to promote the exploitation of ICT as an alternative source of livelihood, especially for the youth, and for economic sustainability of beneficiary communities as a whole.
