I won’t be in UK to cheer X-Factor’s Reggie N Bollie – Minister

A satirical piece ignited a social media discussion in Ghana, after the report claimed that the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Industry, Elizabeth Ofosu Adjare, was to lead a government delegation to the UK to support Ghanaian music duo Reggie N Bollie in the finals of the X-Factor reality show.

But the Minister of Tourism is not taking the report lightly although it emanated from a parody news website.

The Ghanaian duo, Reggie N Bollie, whose music career in Ghana has taken a nosedive, are doing well with great stage performances in the X-Factor show, and have been tipped as favorites to win the ultimate prize.

The Minister of Tourism says although she is happy about the exploits of the two who are flying high the flag of Ghana, she is unhappy with the reports suggesting that she is flying with tax payers’ money to cheer them on in the finals.

She told Citi News “I have honestly not traveled all the way to UK to support them,” she said. “I have not even made any public statement about X factor” she clarified.

She went on to describe the reports as mere allegations and “pure mischief.”

Reggie, 31, and Bollie, 29 will be competing in the X factor UK finale this weekend.
