The controversy surrounding the GH¢5,000 cash received by movie star, Joseph Osei, known in the industry as Wayoosi is far from over.
Barely 48 hours after he denied receiving any cash from President John Dramani Mahama as reported by sections of the media, he has backtracked on his earlier claim.
According to him, his wife who received the amount while he was on admission at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) did not give him a proper briefing until after his radio interview.
“I was asleep when they brought the money because of my sickness so I didn’t see anybody during their visit.
What the nurses told me after I woke up was that the minister asked the delegation to bring me the money. I should’ve asked further but I didn’t so after I finished the interview on the radio station yesterday and told my wife about what I said concerning who donated the money, it was then that she told me that it was the president who sent it not the woman.
My wife is the one who collected the money. She told me that it was the president who sent the money but it went through the woman because she is the minister for our industry” Wayoosi told Zionfelix.net.
The actor is currently recuperating at home, had earlier claimed the minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts Elizabeth Ofosu-Agyare who gave him the money after a friend informed her about his plight.
