I haven’t tested positive for Covid-19; Ignore false NPP claims – Mugabe Maase

Award-winning Media personality Mugabe Salifu popularly known as Mugabe Maase who is the host of Power 97.9 FM’s afternoon political show has rubbished reports that he has tested positive for Covid-19.

Fans of the broadcaster have reported that they have sighted threads of stories on social media purported to have emanated from the stables of the New Patriotic Party’s Ashanti Regional Chairman Antwi Boasiako also known as Wontumi and his group in order to cause stigmatization from the public towards the presenter.

In a chat with Mugabe Maase, he refuted claims that he has moved into self-isolation and abandoned his duties on air because he has tested positive for the virus as been alleged by his naysayers.

As to why he has been missing for the past three days on air, he told GhanaPoliticsonline.com, that one of his sisters called Ramata Issaka lost her husband who is popularly known in Suame, a suburb of Kumasi as Massa Alhassan and as the Islamic tradition demands he was supposed to be buried the same day so he had to join the family in Kumasi for the funeral rites and other family meetings afterwards.

Mugabe told Ghanapoliticsonline.com that this is not the first time people around Chairman Wuntumi are peddling false allegations against him so he will sue them this time around.
