Some Twitter users have quickly assigned reasons to what probably pushed Ghanaian singer Denning Edem Ahotor, known widely as Edem, to join the opposition NDC.
In a post on Tuesday, March 21, the seasoned crooner officially revealed his affiliation with the main opposition party and hinted at a soon-to-come big announcement.
The said announcement, according to the entertainer, comes at exactly 4pm on Wednesday,
March 22.
“Big announcement tomorrow 4PM,” Go Get’em, captioned a poster designed in NDC colors bearing his picture.
The singer, who was born in Abor, is currently linked to the Keta parliamentary slot of the NDC, which is currently held by Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey of the NDC, although he is yet to confirm.
Reacting to this, some Twitter users have alleged that his decision was influenced by the fact that he has lost relevance in the country’s entertainment industry.
They are insinuating that he is looking for an avenue to make quick money since his music proceeds may no longer suffice.
