Herbert Mensah eulogizes slain MP

Businessman and Sports Administrator, Herbert Mensah has described the slain Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North, J.B. Danquah variously as a “beacon for hope”, a “bridge” between generations and a “brother” whose sad passing represents a great loss.

In a Facebook posting following JB’s stabbing at his East Legon residence in Accra Tuesday dawn, Herbert Mensah said the slain MP was a peaceful man who loved both his family and country.

“JB cannot be replaced and the “bridge” that he was to many, has been seriously damaged”, he wrote, adding “I am truly truly sad and pray that God gives strength and guidance to his family!”

The police suspect the killers may have entered the MP’s bedroom through an unsecured window to deal the nation the great misfortune.

Parliament Tuesday cut short proceedings in order for members to commiserate with JB’s family. He is survived by his wife and two children.
Said Herbert, “JB was the present and the future!” “His Soul ….. is already in heaven!”

There can be nothing more painful than a child losing a parent! When a beacon for hope, change and a new generation loses his life everyone is affected.
For many it is news for those close to the departed it is life!
There are too many special younger people who form the bridge between the older generation and the younger who have sadly departed.

My father considered JB a Son and to me he was a younger Brother from a different mother. He was a great respecter of tradition and a man for peace who never looked at any option other than peace in settling most misunderstandings. He loved his family and he loved Ghana. JB cannot be replaced and the “bridge” that he was to many, has been seriously damaged.
I am truly truly sad and pray that God gives strength and guidance to his family!

JB was the present and the future!
His Soul ….. is already in heaven!
