The police have reportedly picked up outspoken member of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hajia Fati.
The arrest is in connection with heckling of NPP General Secretary Kwabena Agyepong and the stoning of his vehicle.
Sources at the party will not confirm the arrest of Hajia Fati except to say they are yet to confirm.
The NPP condemned the attack on the General Secretary’s vehicle and promised to bear the cost for its repair.
An agitated party supporter Tuesday stoned the rear screen of Kwabena Agyepong’s vehicle at the party headquarters.
He had gone there to inform the National Executive Committee that he couldn’t participate in a Steering Committee meeting because he had been served with a writ of summons.
The writ was filed by three pro-Afoko supporters who insist that the process to suspend the party chairman was wrong.
