Greater Accra Regional Deputy Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Gideon Hammond, has called on the Chiefs and people of GADANGME to rally support for His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, Flagbearer of the Opposition National Democratic Congress.
This call comes after the Flagbearer made a profound statement during the Post Elections Acceptance Speech last Monday at the University of Development Studies (UDS} Auditorium in Tamale.
In his address, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama touched on a very pertinent issue that has bedeviled the Gadangme People
The newly elected Flagbearer of the NDC promised to set up a Commission of Enquiry to investigate the matter of looted State Lands and make recommendations for resolving the vexed issue of expropriated Ga-Dangbe land. Reacting to the promise made by Mr. Mahama, Mr. Gideon Hammond stated that “the Hue and Cry of the People of Gadangme is the looting and expropriation of their lands.” He added that “for John Dramani Mahama to show concern, it is only appropriate to give him the support and backing by voting for him to come into office to solve this problem.”
According to him, bringing back H. E. John Dramani Mahama to the Flagstaff House is now a communal labour which everyone in Gadangme and beyond must participate in. He shared the strong belief that when elected President of Ghana on December 7, 2024, Mr. Mahama will deliver on all his promises and more importantly rescue the country from the economic challenges it has been plunged into by the ruling New Patriotic Party.
