President John Mahama, has stated that government will not deny development to districts and towns close to Regional capitals.

He said usually there is the tendency to overlook the smaller towns because of pressure from the regional capitals.

President Mahama, was addressing the people of Odumase number one and number two as part of his five day campaign tour of the Brono- Ahafo region.

Odumase number one and number two in Sunyani west no doubt have had their fair share of development projects. President Mahama, mentioned some other projects on going.

The President acknowledged the support of the people over the years even though Odumase typically swings towards the opposition NPP.

He asked them to close the gap further than they did in 2012.

The Acting President of the Odumase number one Traditional area Nana Kwesi Yeboah, gave probably the shortest speech ever by any Chief at durbar.

To him, government has done so much and there is no need to behave like “Oliver twist”.
