Government To Pump $45m Into Local Pharmaceutical Industry

Government is to pump $45 million into the local Pharmaceutical Industry to boost capacity.

This is to increase the market share from 30 to 60 percent.

The Minister of Health, Alex Segbefia who stood in for the President, announced this at the conference of West Africa Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association in Accra.

He noted that government in collaboration with the private sector will establish a centre for bio- pharmaceutical research to support local manufacturers in their studies.
