President John Mahama, says governments focus in the next four years for the people of the Southern Volta is to establish livelihoods that would enable them to be self-reliant.

President Mahama, was speaking at a durbar held in his honor at Keta in the Volta region.
Upon arrival at the region which can be described as the World Bank of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), President Mahama went into a closed door meeting with the Chiefs of the region to discuss pertinent issues regarding development.Ghanapoliticsonline.com

President Mahama, reiterated the point that government has not neglected the region as is being paraded by some charlatans who claim to be concerned NDC supporters.
He said government’s policy is to distribute development equally to all regions.
President Mahama asked the Chiefs to identify private sector investors to develop some of the natural resources in the area
The President also mentioned some other projects that are in the pipeline.
The Keta township roads are to be asphalted in coming months.
A College of Pharmacy will also be inaugurated in September this year.
