Government committed to telecommunications industry

Deputy Minister of Communication, Ato Sarpong says government is committed to opening up the telecommunications industry and urged those in the industry to leverage the opportunity.

He said as technology evolves data is now leading the way in the telecommunications sector hence government`s resolve to making the sector attractive for more players to come in. GhanaPoliticsOnline.Com

Speaking at a the 3rd West Africa telecommunications summit in Accra, Mr Sarpong said with evolving technology, the telecommunication companies must collaborate with the broadcasting industry on the possibility of viewing media content especially television programmes on mobile phone as prevails in the developed world.
