Ghana’s Digital Migration Policy Launched In Accra

The Ministry of Communication has launched in Accra the Digital Terrestrial Television Broadcasting Policy 2016 and Digital Migration Policy Campaign.

Among the objectives of the Policy is to guarantee availability of all existing terrestrial analogue television stations in digital format.

The Sector Minister, Dr Edward Omane Boamah said it shall be mandatory for all analogue TV transmitters to be switched off on 21st September 2017.

He said so far sixty-three television stations have received authorization from the National Communications Authority to operate.
