Ghanaian Producer Emelia Kumi wins ‘Best Producer’ in Nigeria

Industrious, Ghanaian producer, Emelia Kumi, has won the Best Producer at the just ended 2019 ZAFAA Film Awards held in Nigeria on Sunday 24th November 2019 at Transcorp Hilton hotel at Abuja.

The young producer who entered the film industry as a PA (Production Assistant) on productions by Venus Films, finally paid her dues by graduating into a producer.

Filled with gratitude, Emelia dedicated her awards to the CEO of Venus Films, Alhaji Abdul Salam Mumuni, for believing in her and giving her the opportunity.

The elated awardee, disclosed that having cut her teeth from PA to a producer, she’s preparing to executively producer her first feature movie with a working title ‘Africa.’

Ending her thanks giving speech, Emelia urged filmakers and event organisers to invest in crew and production; the same way they invest massively in actors and artistes.

Other Ghanaian personalities who also won awards include Emelia Brobbey , Van Vicker , Jackie Appiah , John Dumelo , Frank Gharbin,Evander Kwame Agyemang
