over power John Mahama earlier this week was invited to give a speech at a graduation ceremony in Nigeria, where he spoke on the challenges and development of democracy in Africa. He was introduced as the keynote speaker by the Nigerian Minister for Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, who touted his good reputation in his introduction. He described Ghana’s former leader as a person with a “razor sharp intellect” who had a wealth of knowledge on many issues. Geoffrey Onyeama said that upon meeting Mahama for the first time and subsequently interacting with him, he realized that Ghana was lucky to have Mahama.
This high praise earned the former Ghanaian president loud applause from the guests, and a proud smile from Mahama himself. John Mahama was recently spotted spotted at the African Presidential Roundtable in Johannesburg, South Africa where he met with some other former heads of states from other African countries. The conference aimed to bring together these former presidents together so they could share their ideas and proposed solutions to challenges facing the continent.
