Ghana records 4,700 COVID-19 cases with 494 recoveries and 22 deaths

Ghana’s case count of the novel Coronavirus has jumped to 4700, president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has said.

The recoveries have also shot up to 494.

He made this announcement during his ninth televised address to the nation on Sunday, May 10, 2020.

As of Sunday, 9.30 pm, Ghana had conducted 160,501 tests and with total infections of 4,700 and 494 recoveries. The number of people who have died at 22 deaths.

Meanwhile, the President has extended the ban on public and social gathering till the end of May.

This is in accordance with the Executive Instrument (E.I.) 64 which the president signed to give full effect to the new measure from Monday, May 11, 2020.
