One of the suspects in the Ouagadougou terrorism attack, who was arrested in the Upper West region of Ghana, has been handed over to authorities in Burkina Faso, ClassFMonline.com has learnt.
Zuri Ibrahim was handed over to Burkinabe authorities on Tuesday January 26.
Zuri is believed to be one of the al-Qaeda of the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) terrorists, who killed 29 people in an attack at the Splendid Hotel in the capital of Ghana’s northern neighbour a week ago.
The Gwollu Police in the Upper West region of Ghana arrested him on Saturday.
It would be recalled that after the attack, the Government of Ghana issued a statement saying it would collaborate with the Government of Burkina Faso to fight terrorism in the region.
