Ghana Black Sharks thank all for their support

Not for the first time, God performed a wonderful miracle for the Ghana Black Sharks of Ghana. This time, in Mombasa, Kenya on Saturday 27th August 2016.

The story behind the 10-3 victory in Mombasa is not as simple as the scoreline suggests. Indeed, preparations were far from ideal and a lot could have gone wrong, but we are grateful and thankful for all that turned out just right to make victory possible.

The fact of the matter is that if the Sports Ministry had not come to our aid, even the tickets for the team to travel could not have been purchased.

On behalf of the players, management and technical team, our sincere appreciation to all those who helped us achieve this incredible result away from home in one of Africa’s top sporting nations.

We dedicate the victory first of all to Almighty God who makes all things possible.

Special thanks goes to his Excellency the President of Ghana for his constant inspiration and concern for the Black Sharks.

I would also like to acknowledge the Minister of Youth & Sports and his deputy for their support.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) supplied the team with jerseys and kits for which we are grateful.

Our hosts in Kenya reminded us again why their country has become home to many, not just through tourism and professional organisation but the incredibly warm hospitality given to team Ghana on arrival in Kenya until our departure.

Thank you too our dear friends and colleagues in the media. We continue to feel your presence both at home and abroad.

All we humbly ask of you are your prayers and continuous support as we surge forward and closer in our bid to qualify to the Beach Soccer African Cup of Nations in December. There shall be no complacency ahead of the second leg on Sunday 18th September in Accra. We won’t let you down.
