More Than 12 Thousand Nurses To Be Employed By Gov’t Next Year

Government is to employ more than twelve thousand nurses next year.

This is because it is embarking on a project to add some 6,000-beds to hospitals and polyclinics across the country.

The Communications Minister, Dr Edward Omane Boamah who was speaking on Health and Education at the NDC Manifesto launch in Sunyani in Brong Ahafo, said President Mahama is determined to do more in the Health sector.

He cited the President’s achievements in the health sector including five polyclinics in the Brong Ahafo Region, and other regions.

He also announced that the Eastern Region will have a Regional as well as District Hospital.

Touching on Education, Dr Edward Omane Boamah explained the President’s new 200-60-10 formula in education which according to him will give equal access to all school going children across the country.
