Fishing Ministry job not about ‘BIG GRAMMAR’ – Allotey Jacobs defends Hawa Koomson

Former Central Regional Minister, Bernard Allotey Jacobs has jumped to the defense of Fisheries Minister designate, Mavis Hawa Koomson over claims that she should be disqualified from the position because she is not fluent in the English Language.

The Minister-designate was trolled on social media for failing to impress at the vetting because she was not fluent in the English Language.

Several people including host of Good Evening Ghana Show on Metro TV, Paul Adom- Otchere have defended that the lady does not need to be an orator of the English Language to perform as a minister.

His call was joined by Allotey-Jacobs who thinks Hawa Koomson is the right person for that position.

Parliamentarianfio The Fisheries Ministry is not about fluency of the English language but it is about touching base with the fishermen and speaking their language That’s All Hawa you are best for that Ministry”, he posted on his Facebook wall.
