Fearless and courageous Asiedu Nketia brought me into politics – Betty Mould-Iddrisu

26th October 2022

Former Attorney General and Minister for Justice Betty Mould-Iddrisu has revealed how she got into politics and indicates she has no regrets for that decision.

The former appointee under John Fiifi Atta Mills disclosed that National Chairman Aspirant of the party played a key role in her joining politics and not her husband Alhaji Mahama Iddrisu who is an elder of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

“This is the man who brought me into politics and not my husband Alhaji Mahama Iddrisu. I have no regrets listening to him to join politics”, he disclosed at the launch of the campaign for Asiedu Nketia on Tuesday, October 25, 2022.

“You have to have the courage to do what is right for your party, to do what is right for your supporters, what will take us to victory and let us keep our heads up high…this man General Asiedu Nketia has never let me down. He has never let us down…he has been tried and tested and he has conquered and won. In leadership we look for certain qualities, courage is number one. If I am courageous then it is because of the leadership example of General Mosquito”, she hailed.

According to her, the bravery of the current General Secretary of the NDC is never in question having led the party on several General Elections.

“Our country now is standing on precipice…we are on the edge. Betty Mould-Iddrisu. What will happen in parliament we have a seasoned parliamentarian in him to take us through. What will happen to the people of Ghana we have a person like our GS who can take us through. What is going to happen to us internationally, he is the President of the Socialists International Federation. A man who commands respect internationally”, she stressed.
