I earned one million dollars a day – Chairman Wontumi

Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP), Bernard Antwi Bosiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi has revealed that he earned one million dollars a day before venturing into politics.

Speaking on the Starr Chat programme on Starr FM in Accra he said, he was a very successful businessman and earned the amount at the age of 33.

Now 40, he disclosed that he earned the whopping amount every single day by assembling cars and was very popular with the brand “Wontumi”.

According to him, Kantanka did not start the assembling of cars in Ghana but he was the pioneer in that business before the NPP called upon him to serve in the interest of the party.

Chairman Wontumi added that he has over 100 houses in Kumasi alone and never entered into politics for monetary gains.

He was also spotted in a Rolex watch which he said cost 120,000 dollars adding that “I do not wear fake things.”

“I am a businessman and can do everything I want in my country. I do not need any other appointment from the President,” he stated.

The Chairman is very popular especially in the Ashanti region for his display of affluence and several businesses dotted across the region.

The Chairman was very influential in the NPP’s victory in the 2016 elections.
