Dont Waste Your Vote For Ivor Greenstreet -Minister

The Eastern regional Minister who doubles as the parliamentary candidate for New Abirem constituency, on the ticket of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) Hon. Mrs. Mavis Ama Frimpong has stated that, a vote for the presidential candidate on the ticket of Convention People’s Party (CPP), Ivor Kobina Greenstreet would be a wasted vote. According to her, although the candidate is competent and good, he does not have followers or supporters to vote for him as president hence, a vote for him would be a wasted one.

”…Ivor Greenstreet is a lawyer, he is good person, he is embarking on his campaign; that is good. But the party he is leading does not have the numbers or supporters to make him a president and so a vote for him would be a wasted vote. So continue supporting the NDC and vote for President Mahama this year.

So that in the near future, if Ivor Greenstreet is able to mobilise more supporters, then we can allow a person with disability to also govern this country.” Mavis Armah Frimpong said President Mahama is committed to putting people first including persons with disability and also part of efforts, government wants about 5, 000 persons with disability to be part of the working population in Ghana. In showing his commitment, the president has appointed one such person to head the Chieftaincy Ministry, she added.

The Minister urged the public not to discriminate against persons with disability since its dampens their spirit, rather we should invest in their education, training and provide them with opportunities to help them contribute to the development of this country. Mavis Armah Frimpong added that, the Common Fund Allocated for persons with disability under the current administration should be used profitably. She stressed the need for Ghanaians to show their appreciation by retaining President Mahama so he continues his transformational agenda. Credit -rainbowradio
