Delta 13 case adjourned again

The judge at the Kumasi Circuit Court presiding over the case involving the 13 Delta Force members is not pleased with the prosecution’s delay in the case.

Mrs Mary Nsenkyire made this known after the prosecutor, ACP Okyere Darko, asked the court for adjournment, saying that they were still awaiting advice from the Attorney General on the case.
The judge has since adjourned the case to October 10, 2017.

The counsel for the accused, Frederick Kankam Boadu, has, however, indicated that they may be forced to take other legal actions if the case delays further.
The 13 were arrested after they allegedly chased the Ashanti Regional Security Coordinator out of his office and reportedly assaulted him in the process.

They have been charged with conspiracy to commit crime, assault of a public officer, causing unlawful damage, and rioting.
